Get this.
I have been 18 for 3. whole. weeks. ...tomorrow.
And already, I have:
Voted in the state primaries (yes, I am performin' my de-mo-crat-ic duties!)
Signed my own medical papers (no parental permission required)
Sent in my application for an apartment (without parent signature)
And had my wisdom teeth removed!!!
Boo-ya! I am just adult-a-ma-fying my life here. Woot woot!
Oh, and here's a little video I put together of my wisdom teeth adventure (because I was stuck in the house during recovery, with not much to do...)

What's Special about 17?
Oh buddy! It's already February?!! Yikes.
You know age is a funny thing.
At 16, you can drive and sneak out.
At 18, you can drive to the store and buy sparklers and krazy glue.
But what about 17? It seems like it's just a 'filler' year, right?
I am happy to tell you that this just is not true because when you're 17 you can start doing the craziest thing of all--you can donate blood!! Muahaha!!
I guess I've been thinking about this for a while, since my birthday is coming up, and yes indeed, I will be voting in this year's elections--boo-ya!--and I wondered what made my 17th year special. Well I am happy to say that while many things happened through out the year, I was able to give blood and save up to three lives! I'm like a super hero!!!
And I'm going to do it again before my birthday. I got a call the other day, and happily agreed to schedule a time to donate.
Donating blood is so important, and I am uber-proud to be a part of this life-saving service. Fortunately I'm not one to faint so it's easier for me that it is for others, but I strongly recommend getting out there and donating!
You too can be a superhero! And if you already donate, then I commend you, superhero!

Finally! A name!!
I haven't put my name on the pictures I've done because I couldn't think of what to write. Should I put "Matilda Photography"? Lame. So, I fiddled around, and I found one that I think is pretty darn cute. Enjoy these new ones! :D

Finland Memories
Here are a few of the most memorable times in Finland:
When Mom, Merinda, Mikaela, Katie, Kai and I made a music video, and we carried the high chair all around Jyväskylä. :) We got a few stares from onlookers.

Tomorrow we head back to the blessed U.S.A. I can't wait to be home again, but I'm not looking forward to the long plane ride...
